Job Description:
Hays Education are currently working with popular primary schools in Bedford to recruit Teaching Assistants in the Foundation Stage/Key stage 1.
This is a highly rewarding role in which you will be supporting the Class Teacher, assisting with the organisation and preparation of classroom resources and assisting pupils. You will promote good pupil behaviour, dealing with incidents in line with the school's policies and reporting difficulties as appropriate.
Supporting the needs of pupils is essential for this role. You will be expected to provide 1:1 support for pupils as needed, especially those with SEN. Promoting self-esteem, encouraging pupils to act independently and supporting academic and personal development are all vital to this role.
In order to apply for this role, candidates must be available to work on a full time basis, Monday - Friday and be flexible to work between the hours of 8.30 am - 4 pm. A minimum of over 12 months experience working within a primary school is essential. Holding a Level 2 or above teaching assistant certificate is also desirable.
These roles are being made available from September and we are now looking for adaptable candidates, seeking a new role.
