We invite applications for the above-mentioned tenure-track position, for appointment as soon as possible.

Requirements:

·         A PhD (or near completion) in Spanish Language/Literature

·         Experience in teaching Spanish to 2^nd language speakers at tertiary level

·         An active research interest in Spanish language and literature (preferably published articles)

·         An ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish

Responsibilities:

·         Teaching Spanish as a 2^nd language from beginners to advanced level

·         Engagement in on-going research and publication of the results of such research

·         Academic administration

·         Development of teaching materials

The annual cost of employment, including benefits at lecturer level is R457 223.
